Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When do I have to pay a deposit? Your £100 deposit must be paid within 28 days of your provisional booking or the booking lapses and becomes available to others.

  2. Will I receive an invoice after camp? No, simply fill in the final payment form on the website and send this with your payment as instructed within 28 days.

  3. Is camping allowed? Yes, you’re welcome to bring tents. The camping charge is £5 per head per night but only at this discounted rate if a minimum of 24 are using the inside accommodation. Otherwise the charge remains £15 per head per night.

  4. Can I bring my dog? We are sorry but dogs are not allowed. From our experience young people’s activities and dogs are not a good mix!

  5. Can Canty Bay be hired for private functions? We do not normally take bookings for private functions; priority is always given for Christian activities amongst young people. Please note that there is a strict no alcohol and no smoking policy in all areas of the Bay.

  6. Do you have a risk assessment that we can use? No, risk assessment is entirely the responsibility of the group using the facilities. The assessment must always be tailored to the activities and make up of each group.
